Around the inhabited centre, we fid the remains of nuraghi that confirm remote human settlement in the area; those at Couau and Urigu are still visible. But another significant cultural attraction inside the village is certainly offered by the Church of the 'Madonna delle Grazie', founded in the XIII century but rebuilt in the seventeenth century: it stands out from the other buildings for its faade made of light sandstone ashlars, alternating with pieces of basalt which produces an elegant optical effect. The Church of 'San Pietro Apostolo', dating to the XVII century, is no less important, especially for its furnishings. Here we find a Baroque wooden altar which houses the multi-coloured and gilded simulacrum of the 'Madonna della Neve'. The village distinguishes itself for its textile and craftwork production, but especially for the production of Vernaccia, which obviously mirrors the abundance of vineyards spread around the area, and also for tomatoes, for which a festival is held in the second week of August. For this occasion, visitors can taste the typical dishes made with this red and wholesome vegetable in the village public park. The calendar of the events includes on 9th February, the Feast of Sant'Apollonia, with a procession that winds its way around the streets of the village and ends up at the Parish Church of 'San Pietro Apostolo'. During the summer season, the Feasts of Sant'Antonio, on 13th June and the one of 'San Pietro Apostolo' on 13th June are organised with the usual procession and the final Mass.
