The territory has a notable archaeological patrimony which bears witness to man?s presence here since remote times. The remains of a Nuraghic settlement have now been submerged by Lake Omodeo. A must for visitors is the Temple of Jove, erected in about 50 BC on the S'Onnaru hill to the north of the inhabited centre. The country church of Santa Maria from the XIII century and the Church of San Pietro from the XII century are very interesting; the latter is built in square stone ashlars and is characterised by a cuspicated roof and a single nave. A number of feasts take place in the village; on Easter Monday the 'Lamb Festival' is held, during which visitors have the chance to taste the meat cooked according to different traditional recipes; in June the 'Feast of San Giovanni' takes place, characterised by religious celebrations and other kinds of events.
