Santa Giusta

The village of Santa Giusta is rich with resources and character. The view sweeps from its cathedral towards the lagoon on the horizon, where the 'Is Fassonis' old boats of Phoenician origins, still plough through the water. The Feast of Santa Giusta on 14th May, is incredibly suggestive; a blend of the sacred and profane, so dear to all its participants. Instead, the first of August is the turn of the 'Regata de is Fassonis', when the ancient vessels compete on the third largest lagoon on the Island. As regards its culinary delicacies, the 'bottarga' must be tasted, a prized speciality made of dried mullet roe. Src: http://www.sardegnaturismo.it/offerta/cultura/cittaepaesi/paesi/santagiusta.html
