The temple, erected by the Punic and used by the Romans, was dedicated to the Sardinian god Sardus Pater Babai. Located 500 meters above sea level, about 10 km from Fluminimaggiore, probably housed a statue of the deity, as some excavations have brought to light a large stone finger, attributable to a colossus of three meters in height. In the area around the temple are the original Punic bases, a small necropolis, the remains of an ancient nuragic village, the quarries and a Roman path.
