Cala Lunga - Isola di Sant'Antioco

The Cala Lunga beach is made of coarse-grained sand mixed with sea shells and coral fragments, and framed by reefs and rocks. From either the beach or the sea, other small coves can be reached, all of them enchanting, such as “Cala dei Tuffi” (the diving cove), a natural pool surrounded by rock walls. Cala Lunga is in the locality of the same name on the island of Sant'Antioco, in the territory of Calasetta. It can be reached along the dirt road linking Cala Sapone to Calasetta. The beach is well-equipped for beachgoers: it has disabled access, a spacious car parking area, and has low-depth waters, making it ideal for toddlers and small children. It is a favourite destination for snorkelers and breath-hold spear-fishermen. Sc: http://www.sardegnaturismo.it
