Brandinchi

Cala Brandinchi is made up of very fine, light-coloured, sparkling sand. Known as Tahiti for its exotic aspect, the beach with its very fine sand and the turquoise and blue waters, is surrounded by a pinewood and by dunes on which junipers and wild lilies grow. The beach also has a small quay in cement, suitable for small, recreational boats. On this very beach, on the 17 October, 1867, after a fortunate escape from Caprera, Giuseppe Garibaldi embarked on his "St. Francis" to reach Piombino to try to free Rome. On that occasion, the hero of the two Worlds received precious help from the people of Gallura. Sc: http://www.sardegnaturismo.it
