Pabillonis

Of sure interest is a visit to the historic centre full of characteristic buildings in ancient style and several churches. One of these is the Romanesque Church of San Giovanni Battista, dating to the XIII century, whose original floor-plan had a single nave and a vaulted ceiling, and also the parish Church of 'Santa Maria della Neve', from the XVI century, with a nave and two aisles and a raised presbytery. Human presence from ancient times, on the plain near the village, is shown by the Nuraghe of 'Santu Luxori', a complex structure with a polylobated bastion and several towers in the defence wall, which was later used in later periods as a burial place.
