Bosa Marina

At almost a kilometre long, the beach of Bosa Marina, among the top places of the best Italian beaches, has been awarded the “five sails” of Legambiente (Environmental Association) thanks to its clear waters. The long beach, between the small port and the trachyte quay that connects to the rocky Isola Rossa, spreads out under the Aragonese tower that, in the summer months, welcomes exhibitions of every kind. The beach is covered in a bed of fine, ochre-coloured sand with golden hues, with low, smooth green rocks near the slipway. Excursions depart from Bosa Marina along the river Temo, navigable for a number of kilometres, and on the Trenino Verde (small tourist train) up towards Macomer. At a few kilometres from the bathing centre, and of great historical interest, is the visit, in the inhabited centre of Bosa, to the castle of the Malaspina and the neighbourhood of Sa Costa, with typical medieval house-towers. Of noteworthy importance are also Sas Conzas, the old buildings of the tanneries that follow along a part of the river. To reach the beach from the town of Bosa go out in the direction of Bosa Marina, which is reached after 2.5 km. The beach is in front of the town. Sc: http://www.sardegnaturismo.it
